This project involves advanced imaging, image analysis, and longitudinal clinical studies in human subjects. Key Responsibilities: Conduct photoacoustic and ultrasound imaging on human research subjects in clinical settings (wound care and dialysis clinics) Develop and validate image acquisition and image processing pipelines Analyze imaging data to extract biomarkers related to perfusion, hypoxia, and wound healing outcomes Work directly with physicians, nursing, and patients—including recruiting, consenting, and scanning subjects—all under IRB-approved protocols. Contribute to manuscript writing, presentations, and project reporting Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Biomedical Imaging, Electrical Engineering, Medical Physics, or a related field Hands-on experience with ultrasound and/or photoacoustic imaging systems Strong background in image analysis and quantitative data interpretation Experience with human subjects research including IRB protocols and patient consenting Excellent communication and teamwork skills for navigating fast-paced clinical scenarios.
